I know how important a good photograph is. It reminds a husband of fifty years that his wife’s smile is as beautiful now as it was the day they took their vows. It reminds a mother of how small her high-school linebacker’s hand felt in her own before his first day of kindergarten. It captures and defines those moments that we want to re-live. That’s why I’m a photographer. My passion lies in preserving moments, and I know that a good picture is more than just the angle of the sun, the length of exposure, or capturing everyone with their eyes open. As a photographer I get to take the quickly changing world, slow it down, and capture those otherwise fleeting moments. I am grateful for the privilege.

Fischer Rehearsal Lunch

I had the privilege of photographing Beth and Chris Fischer’s rehearsal lunch the day before their wedding.  It was on a beautiful wood boat in Newport Harbor.  The food was spectacular, the company even better.  What a lively bunch of people.  A lot of love and a lot of fun and a lot of jokes went on all afternoon.  Great couple and great families.

Mullan Family

The Mullans live in Victoria, BC one of the most beautiful towns I’ve been to.  There were so many parks to choose from to shoot this lovely little family.  Baby Edmund is so precious.  He was just so content to be placed and posed however we saw fit.  Both Deborah, his mother and I had a lot of fun with our little model.

Emily&Nate

Nate and Emily were such a beautiful couple to photograph.  They have such a great sense of humor.  The wedding was in Westwood, California right on Wilshire Blvd at a little old church surrounded by massive condo buildings.  Always a blast to watch a couple like this get married.  The church was a beautiful and old, filled with lots of beautiful woodwork.  Enjoy the plethora of photos, which is only a fraction of the total amount that I took.

Katie&Iseah

Katie and Iseah are a fun couple.  I don’t know if I could get a shot of them without smiling.  They are so in love and so ready to be married.  It was quite a blessing to witness their marriage, and a joy to photograph them.  This wedding was on the waterfront in San Diego bay at a beautiful restaurant.  The time of day was fantastic, beautiful lighting, wonderful weekend.

Emily&Kerry

I’ve known Kerry and Emily since the beginning of college.  They somehow didn’t discover each other until after college.  Kerry has been a good friend for so long and I’ve been just waiting for the day that this rock star would find the woman of his dreams.  I’d like to proudly claim that much of their courting was granted an opportunity by rugged backpacking and hiking trips that Laura and I planned and invited them on.  After all you don’t really know someone until you’ve experienced blood, sweat and tears with them.  Getting on with it, Kerry invited me to shoot the engagement moment for them.  They had just gotten back from a plane ride to Catalina Island and dinner in downtown Long Beach.  I was lying in wait for them to stroll out to the boardwalk where Kerry dropped to a knee and asked Emily for her hand in marriage.
